Coffee Cup Card With Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies - 2

Today I wanted to share this adorable gift card holder that is "handmade for the holidays"!  I used my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine to make the cups, using a set of thinlits dies that go ON SALE tomorrow for 30% off as part of our big Black Friday week Online Extravaganza sale!

The dies I used were the Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies, which normally make…

…fun projects like this little Christmas House that was a gift from Susan Bacholke, one of my Stampfield Stars team members. These detailed little houses are fun to make and keep for a decoration every year.

The Home Sweet Home Thinlits include lots of fun dies to decorate your creation, like this Haunted House that I made for my Halloween Tricks and Treats class. So where does the coffee "to go" cup come from? Scroll down!

As you can see in this picture, I placed the white card stock under the "wall portion" and the lid is formed by the top part of the roof and the assembly tab!  I learned this fun idea through a clever UK demonstrator, Valerie Moody.

I popped the cup up on dimensionals and then popped the lid up on as well to get the extra depth.

The coffee "sleeve" was made with the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing folder and the greeting with the Bunch of Banners Framelit Dies and the Labeler Alphabet. For a full list of supplies, see the bottom of this post.

Inside I made a little pocket for a gift card by attaching a scrap of embossed Cherry Cobbler with Tear & Tape adhesive on three sides (leave the top side open so you can slide in your gift card)!

I give out a lot of gift cards over the holidays and I prefer the gift card holder to be handmade so the recipient knows that I really cared!
