Today I wanted to share with you this adorable (and easy!) little Santa Box!
The box is made from the new Takeout Thinlits Dies from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. Not only do you get the die to make the box (just cut two), you also get a number of other dies to make windows and tags for your box!
For the face of the Santa I used the Lemon Builder Punch. I punched out a full lemon from Whisper White and embossed it with the Swirls and Curls embossing folder. I punched out two of the leaves with no stems for the mustache, and a 1/2" circle from Very Vanilla for the nose. I sponged the "nose" with a sponge dauber dipped in Petal Pink ink to give it a rosy glow. The belt is a 3/8" x 2" piece of Basic Black cardstock trimmed to fit the box.
The "hat" is just the closure flap of the box. I left it up and cut off all of the other top flaps. It looks just like a hat when you add a 1/2" punched circle of Whisper White for the pom pom! The hat "trim" is a piece of Whisper White 3/8" x 2 1/2".
I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to assemble the box and to add the embellishments. The beard, nose, pom, and mustache are popped up on Dimensionals.
