Hello again! Thank you for joining me this month as I celebrate 20 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator with 20 posts! Today I have another sneak peek for you from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! This beautiful stamp set will be available on September 1st as a bundle with the new Everyday Label Punch. This set is perfect for gift tags, cards and scrapbook pages.
I was inspired to make this set of tags we made on the Stampin' Up! Thailand Incentive Trip. The image was stamped on Shimmery White card stock and the Aqua Painter was used for a watercolor wash for the background. To do a watercolor wash take the closed Old Olive ink pad and squeeze it, putting pressure on the top and bottom of the closed pad. This forces the inside lid to touch the ink and forms a smear of ink for you to paint with. Open the pad and pick up some of the ink from the lid, swoosh it on to a scrap paper until it is as light as you would like it, then swoosh it on to your card stock over the stamped image.
In addition to the new Everyday Label Punch I used the Holly Berry Builder Punch and the Triple Banner Punch. The paper with the music notes is called Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper and is printed with traditional Christmas Carols. The Striped ribbon is also new - the edges are wired so it can hold its shape however you position it.
In this close up you can see the "shimmer" in the Shimmery White card stock - and the sparkle from the rhinestones.
I used the Peace This Christmas stamp set from the regular catalog for the inside message. I thought the images in that set matched really well with Merry Little Labels.
