Wow!! Just in time to prepare for those holiday cards - Stampin' Up! has a sale on card stock, ink, envelopes, and more!! Sale starts tomorrow, October 1st and goes through October 6th! For a sneak peek at all the deals - click here to see the flyer: Stock Up and Save Sale. I know I will be stocking up! How about you?!
Party Pennant Die is on sale as part of the weekly deals - Monday, September 29th is the last day to get it at a discount!! Did you get yours yet?! This die makes for a super elegant card! I used the die to get the shaped piece for this card. Scroll down to see how I did that! And be sure to check out ALL the weekly deals at the bottom of this post!
Here is a quick peek at the inside of the card - I love this Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set!
The die has several shapes - this is the one that I used for this card.
This is the folded edge of my Vanilla card stock - I placed it just inside the top cutting edge of the shape so that it would cut the sides and the bottom of the shape, not the top edge.
This is how it looks after it is cut.
Because I did not cut the top edge with the fold, I now have a card that opens!
A little stamping with this fun set fills up my pennant beautifully. The Elegant Butterfly Punch matches the butterfly in this set so I stamped the butterfly on a scrap piece of Vanilla and punched it out. Then I popped it up with a dimensional. Of course I had to add three little pearls to the center for an accent!
The Honeycomb embossing folder adds an elegant, finishing touch to the background piece that I mounted my folded pennant on. And the Mossy Meadow ribbon ties it all together.

Since the Hamburger Box XL Die is ON SALE in the weekly deals this week (scroll to the bottom of this post for all the weekly deals), I just had to share this darling happy little school bus project that I designed for my Back To School Treat Holder class from early September. Scroll down for the video tutorial!
Here is the "back of the bus"!
The windshield was super easy - no corner rounder was used! Can you guess which framelits I used?! (Hint: it is in the video below and in the supply list at the bottom of this post).
Here is the video how - to!
No box would be complete without yummy treats! I filled my bus with "Smarties" - because smarties go to school, and Gobstoppers because buses make lots of stops!
Thank you for stopping by today!

So soft and pretty! I created this card in August for a swap with other Stampin' Up! leaders in my area. I really love how it turned out! I'm posting it today for Whip-it Wednesday because the Party Pennant Die that was used to cut the shape is ON SALE THIS WEEK ONLY as part of the weekly deals!!! To see all the weekly deals, go to the bottom of this post.
As you can see in this partial side view, the flap is cut into a pretty shape using the Party Pennants Die for the Big Shot Machine.
There are four shapes on the die - this is the one I used.
I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock 3" x 9 1/2" and scored it at 4 3/4". I laid it on the die with the folded edge just below the top edge of the shape.
I send it through the Big Shot Machine and it cut the bottom and sides - but the folded edge did not cut because it was just below the cutting area.
This stamp set, Ornamental Pine, is so pretty! My family owns a Christmas Tree Farm and so this one was a must have for me! I wanted a soft look so I chose Baked Brown Sugar ink for the pine cone and Pear Pizazz for the pine branch.
The inside greeting that comes in the Ornamental Pine stamp set. The embossing folder is another lovely new thing from the Holiday Catalog called "Filigree Frame". I also call it "Instance Elegance"!
The greeting is from a special stamp set that is only available until the end of October called Good Greetings. The set is free when you place a $300 order - either your own order or if you gather orders from a group of friends that totals $300 before tax and shipping.
Here are all the fabulous greetings in the set!
For a finishing touch I added a bow with Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon.
And here is our Whip-it Wednesday spokesperson (dog?) - Bella the Whippet. Looking elegant in the wing back chair. Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to pick up your Party Pennant die now while it is on sale!

Happy Whip-it Wednesday! I've got a super quick fall card to show you today. Perfect for this nice cool weather that we are having here in Minnesota.
We are using this great fall set For All Things from the Holiday Catalog - I love the shaded stamps - they are a nice way to add color to a card.
I used Crushed Curry ink to stamp the shaded "banner" stamp. The image is textured so that it stamps lighter - which is perfect to highlight the words that go on top of it.
I stamped the oak leaf image in Cajun Craze ink, and then stamped it a second time without re-inking to get a lighter appearance.
What could be better with falls leaves then Hardwood background stamp to add color and texture? Quick and easy card.
While I type this, our Whip-it Wednesday mascot, Bella the Whippet, is engaged in one of her favorite pastimes, "lazy squirrel patrol"!
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy fall! I was having so much fun yesterday teaching my Back to School Triple Treat Holder class that I neglected to post! So sorry! I will be sharing the Back to School project soon, but today we are going to talk about this quick and easy treat holder - easy to "whip" up a whole batch to give out to teachers, friends, and coworkers this fall!
Here is a picture of the back side that shows the treat. I am once again using the mini Ghirardelli Choclates - they are so cute! This is made with the Gift Card Envelope Thinlits Die for the Big Shot and could hold a gift card instead. Or wait, how about BOTH - a gift card AND some chocolate!
When you order the Gift Card & Trims Thinlits Dies to use in your Big Shot, you get some tags and embellishments too!
We used the long skinny tag die for this project (in my Big Shot Class last week) - we cut two, one in Cajun and the Vanilla.
The Hello Fall tag was stamped using the gorgeous new stamp set from the Holdiay catalog - love it!
The "Color Me Autumn" Designer Series Paper is so pretty and the Mossy Meadow ribbon adds the perfect finishing touch!
Enjoy fall to the fullest by making some lovely gifts or cards to brighten the days of others! Click here to go to the store and see all the fun new Holiday Catalog projects!
And I will leave you with a photo of our Whippet Bella. Looking a bit sulky here at the Renaissance Festival this past weekend - I don't think dressing up in costume is her favorite activity!
I love the clean and simple look of this "no layers" card for the holidays! This card features an adorable stamps set called Festival of Trees and the matching Tree Punch - don't you just love when a set has a matching punch?! It makes life so much simpler! Scroll to the bottom of this post to see all of the supplies that were used for this card.
The beautiful Filigree Frame Embossing Folder instantly makes just about any card more elegant - isn't it lovely! We made this card at my Breakfast Club just over a week ago. If you live in Minnesota and are near the Twin Cities - I would love to have you join us next time!
This stamp set has 5 different Christmas tree images - but I think this realistic Spruce tree is my favorite. To see all of the trees, click here. Ready for the long list of card stock and the measurements? Whisper White 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". And some scrap bits of Whisper White. That's it! Okay - so not a long list after all! Remember - if you purchase this stamp set and the matching punch together as a bundle you save 15%! Check it out here.
Boo! Halloween is coming - yay! Check out this super cute criss cross pocket card that we made at my Big Shot Class this week. Scroll down for the video tutorial!
Here is a close up of this adorable ghost from the new Fall Fest set and Fun Fall Framelits! These two items are offered as a bundle, which means, when you purchase them together, you save 15%!
This project can be a card, or a treat holder, or both! The super cute designer paper is called Motley Monsters.
Every card needs a fun inside greeting, right?! The insert piece is stamped with a nice big single stamp from the Holiday Catalog called Halloween Street.
To make the card you need two pieces of Basic Black cut 4 1/4" x 11 and scored at 5 1/2". Two pieces of Motley Monsters designer paper cut 4" x 3" (after cutting, your leftover pieces can make a second card). You also need a piece of Tangerine Tango 5 1/4" x 4" and a piece of Whisper White 3 3/4" x 5".
Here is the video tutorial with the step by step instructions.
