I'm excited to show you this pretty card I designed for my classes this month! I was playing around with my Flowering Fields stamp set (a FREE set during March) and I wanted a vase for them - then I came across my Cups & Kettles framelits - perfect!
I used the markers from the Subtles Collection: Wild Wasabi for the leaves, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral for the flower, and Soft Sky for the main portion of the butterfly. For the center of the butterfly I used Bermuda Bay from the Brights Markers.
I used one of the cute little cup dies for the inside of the card! The greeting is from the Birthday Blooms set.
I was so excited to find that the kettle die cuts the lid separately from the pot - so cute!
Then I placed the pieces in my Lovely Lace embossing folder to give them texture!
I masked the bottom portion of my Thick Whisper White card stock with two post-it notes - one large and then a smaller one in the center cut to the width of the kettle opening. This way I could stamp the stems within the smaller post-it note so they would appear to be coming out of the top of the pot, while the larger post-it note masked any images that might poke below the pot or out the sides.
The final step was adding the Dimensionals to pop up the kettle and lid!
