Wow! The new Stampin' Blends premier alcohol markers are outstanding! I was so impressed with the quality of these markers. I felt like an artist and was thrilled with the results! Each marker comes in a light and dark shade with the exception of the Ivory, Bronze, and Color Lifter which are all single markers. The light and darks give you some pretty amazing shading results, and because the markers are alcohol based you can blend the lights and darks together to get rid of any lines.
Coloring is my happy place!! So much fun playing and creating! The image was stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black on Thick Whisper White card stock. I used Daffodil Delight (light) and both of the Calypso Coral markers (light and dark) to give my mermaid auburn hair.
For the tail I used the Pool Party and Bermuda Bay sets of markers (both light and dark). I was so intent on coloring that I missed a text from my husband. He asked why I did not respond, I said I was busy "working" – love my job!! After I was done coloring I applied Wink of Stella to the tail – so sparkly!
I used Old Olive Stampin' Blends (light and dark) for the ferns. I also added some color around the edges of the card with the light Pool Party Blend. I used the Color Lifter to erase any harsh lines.
