Isn't it fun to combine different stamp sets?! I was playing around with the Santa's Suit bundle and decided to try combining it with the Spooky Cat bundle - partly because I was looking at the mittens and that rhymed with kittens - lol!
The cat face is in the Spooky Cat stamp set, I stamped it in Early Espresso ink after punching out two cats with the Cat Punch. I needed to add a little Santa magic and the star swirl stamp image from Star of Light was perfect! After stamping the hat and mittens in Cherry Cobbler I cut them out with the coordinating dies from the Santa Builder Framelits. I cut the bow off of the mittens so it would look like it was coming out of the kitties mouth and attached the mittens and hat with mini glue dots.
For the inside of the card I used the other greeting from Santa's Suit and layered it with the Pretty Label Punch. Of course I added some more "magic" behind with the Star of Light stamp again - I love this stamp image, don't you?!
TIP: To save card stock punch out the layers for the sayings from the layer you are using on the front of the card! Since only the outside edges of the layer will show, you might has well use the center portion for your punch layers. Waste not, want not!
Of course I popped up both kitties and the saying on Dimensionals, because, I pop up everything on Dimensionals! I just love the look it adds to my cards!
Winston the Whippet - with a Dimensional paper on his nose, felt there were too many cats in this post and wanted to make an appearance. Does anyone else have those Dimensional papers all over their house?!
Thanks for joining me today for my whimsical kitty card! Have fun creating with your stamps, ink, and paper!
