Creative Inking Blog Hop: Saying Thanks Creatively

This month our hop is all about gratitude! And I'm grateful (and excited) to show you this pretty "Thank You" card!

I used the gorgeous Winter Woods stamp set in Merry Merlot and stamped the image a second time without reinking on a smaller layer to get the lighter portion.

The card is a fun fold and opens up with an accordion fold on the inside.  The inside is 4" x 9 3/4" and is scored at 1 1/2", 3", and 4 1/2". The front and back "covers" are Merry Merlot 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

I used the Rooted In Nature stamp set to stamp on the folds with Merry Merlot ink - I stamped 3 times without reinking to get the light and darks.

The pretty Tin Tile embossing folder adds detail to the front and the GORGEOUS Copper & Merry Merlot ribbon makes it even prettier!

Halloween Candy Corn Card

So excited that October is here!  I just wanted to share this quick and easy Halloween card with you - scroll down for the dimensions and details!

I wanted the card to look like Candy Corn so I used Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry cardstock and cut the panels 1 3/4" x 4".  The cardbase is Basic Black cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  The greeting is from the Spooky Sweets stamp set which is available as a bundle with the Spooky Bats punch. The witches hat is from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper. This card was inspired by a candy corn card done by demonstrator Lorri Heiling, you can see her version here. Thanks for the inspiration Lorri!

I ran the panels through the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder to add some texture.  I love this folder, it turns your standard cardstock into fancy linen textured paper! I used the Layering Circles Dies and the Stitched Shapes Dies for the focal point and added the hat. It's hard to see in the photo but I added a Rhinestone to the hat and colored it black with the Basic Black Dark Stampin' Blend marker. Stampin' Blends are alcohol markers and are permanent when dry.

I had fun with the inside of the card too!  The spooky cloud stamp and greeting stamp are both from the Spooky Sweets stamp set.  The cloud (mist? whatever - lol!) is stamped in Smoky Slate.  Every week I do exclusive videos for the members of my Stampfield Stars team of passionate paper crafters and share with them what I have been creating.  This card was one of their favorites so I thought I would share it here too!!
