Daisy Lane Sunflower Overlay Fun Fold Card

I'm excited to share this pretty sunflower card today – and it's a fun fold too! I have a short video for you and the dimensions below…

This patterned paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Paper looks SO MUCH like burlap fabric!! I created the large sunflower by stamping two of the large daisy image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Crushed Curry ink on Crushed Curry cardstock. The center of the flower has been embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder (hard to see that in the photo) and then punched out with the 1 3/8" scallop circle punch. I stamped the word "Smile" from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Early Espresso ink directly on the designer paper.

This card layout is called an Overlay Fun Fold and in this photo you can see how it opens. The benefit of this fun fold is that you can see some of the inside of the card when the card is closed.  I love to put fun things inside the card too – so there is a baby sunflower inside of this one…

The smaller sunflower inside the card is made using the Medium Daisy punch, and I used the leaf punch again but cut off one of the leaves. TIP: When adhering the front piece to the card base, line up the bottom edge of the front flap piece with the bottom edge of the card base. Adhere under the flap with Tear & Tape.

Here are the dimensions for this Overly Fun Fold card:

Card Base: 5 1/4" x 5 1/2", with the 5 1/4" side at the top of the scoring tool, score at 4 1/4"

Front Piece: 4" x 4"

Front Designer Paper Layer: 3" x 3 3/4"

Inside Layer: 4" x 5 1/4"

Designer Paper for the top of the card: 3/4" x 5 1/4"

Designer Paper for inside the card on each edge: 3/4" x 4"
